Grandparent Duty!

We had our first official shot at grandparent duty at last!  Brian and Chelsea wanted to go to the temple on Saturday.  They had an elderly couple in their ward that was getting sealed, and they also hadn't been to the temple since David was born.  Grandma and Grandad to the rescue!  We drove over Friday after work, spent the night, an woke up all ready to report to our first stint on Grandparent Duty!

Friday night

How's it going to be without Mom and Dad for a WHOLE day?

Let the games begin!

Just about the minute after Brian and Chelsea were out the door, we piled into the pick-up to take off for the river walk.  I love the riverwalk trail!  I love walking it when we visit Farmington.

David loved being outside!

David fell asleep shortly after we started our adventure.

There is a playground at the River Walk Trail Head.  Where there's a playground...

..one must play!

After the adventure, it was time for lunch!

We, or course, had to visit the Patchwork Pig, when in Farmington.  Grandad is teaching David the fine art of waiting at a quilt store.

Every baby needs beads.  We found some for David just like Micah's beads!

Mommy and Daddy got back safe and sound.  We stayed the night Saturday night, and then we went to Sacrament Meeting on Sunday morning, and hit the road back to Gallup.  We are looking forward to Grandparent Duty again!

The dad had been gone to DC all week. so we had to make up a week on our Recipe Book Quest.  We had Mustard Encrusted Salmon from the Grill Planking Book.

We also had Apple Salad and French Dressing from Emeril's cookbook.

  1. Thanks again so much for watching David! Grandparents are the best babysitters.
