I have a student teacher at school this year. Her name is Yael Morgan. I was glad to have her, because it made being able to go to Phoenix to hang with Eli when his parents were at the hospital much easier, because I didn't have to make any lesson plans. As it turns out, the Covid-19 virus also made it so I didn't have to make any lesson plans for while I was gone.
Amy was starting to get contractions, so I left to go to Phoenix on Sunday, March 15, a week before Calvin's due date. But when I got there, Amy didn't have to worry whether or not I would make it to Phoenix in time to keep Eli, so she relaxed, and so did the contractions. The following week, in the wee small early morning hours of Tuesday, March 24, Amy and Cody got the call that they could head to the hospital to have Calvin induced! Eli and I had a great time together. Calvin arrived safe and sound. All was well in the world, in spite of all the crazy things going on in the world because of the Corona Virus! (I even put in my 14 required days of isolation while I was there!)
