Gallup Sun Article

 This article appeared in the June 9 issue of The Gallup Sun.  The article is nice, but the picture has clearly been photoshopped.  The Grandad has never had a beard in is life.  I emailed the editor, who had the writer respond.  She said the picture is just exactly the way she received it from the photographer, and they have a policy of not using any doctored pictures.  

This is his picture taken the day before the newspaper took the picture in the article (from the same place he stood for the photographer.  I like it better.

Quick Trip to American Fork

 Because the dad just started a new job, he didn't have any vacation days for traveling this summer.  So we used Juneteenth to zip up to American Fork to pick up Erika so she could come and spend some time with us all by herself!

Steve was just getting over being sick, but the rest of us packed a lot in to that quickie trip!

The dad and I drove over the the Lindon Temple construction site.

On Saturday, we went to a Fairy Tale Celebration at Thanksgiving Point.  We met a lot of Fairy Tale Characters!  This is the Red Princess, I think.

There was also a dinosaur exhibit going on at the same time!

On Sunday, we went on a walk!

On Monday morning, we took Erika with us and headed home for the next leg of Summer Vacation.

The Judicial Conclave and the DA Conference

This year, the Judicial Conclave and the D.A. Conference were held in Albuquerque the very same weekend!  That means that Doug and Brian both had to be in Albuquerque for work meetings the at the very same time!  Talk about good timing!

I went with Chelsea and the kids to a day at the Rio Grande Zoo.

We stopped by the Orangutans for a picnic!

The dad and I got a gift certificate to Pappadeuxs for Christmas.  We all went there for dinner!
