Our Family in August

 August was a super-busy month for everyone.  Hence, pictures from the family were slim pickin's this month.  If I were smart, I'd screenshot an occasional BeReal photo.

We Went to Farmington for the Weekend!

We found a weekend that we didn't have anything going on, and Brian's family didn't have anything going on, so we zipped right on over to Farmington.  We had a very pleasant weekend with Brian, Chelsea and their crew!

We went to see how the temple was coming along!

We had a cookout in the backyard!  Delicious burgers!

August Just Whizzed On By This Year!

The dad's gavel came in.  I got to bang it.

School for me started on August 2 this year.  The whole month seemed to fly by in a blur this year!  I'm glad I snapped a few pictures along the way!

In the spring, we watched a good youtube video about pruning grapes.  We pruned them way back to just the producing vines, and we had more and bigger grapes this year!

We love cooking and eating out!  Happy Birthday to truly the love of my life!

We didn't do a cake this year.  It's a homemade ice cream sandwich with a candle in it.

The dad's birthday was on our temple weekend.  There was an Elder's Quorum party out at the Briggs that night.  We zipped home and went straight to the party.  They had a birthday cake for the dad!

I'm not sure why I stuck this in.  On one of the first days of school, I let the kids create with pattern blocks on the carpet when we had some time at the end of the day.  Aiden Tsosie, one of my SPED kids, made this.  I've never had a kid create anything quite so creative, big and detailed!  I was amazed.

Dad found a recipe for Air Fryer Steak Bits that he wanted to try.  I'm glad he did.  They were pretty good!

We let the grass get pretty long before Doug cut it.  With the rainy season, it was always wet when he had time to mow.  I tried to show the difference after he mowed, but you can't really see it in the picture.

We made a lot of apricot and apricot habanero preserves.

For our 41st Anniversary, we went up to McGaffey and hiked the Mike Rippin trail to the lake and back.

We cooked Green Chile Cheeseburgers on the hibachi.

It was a perfect way to spend our big day together.

It's hard o see it in the picture, but there is a perfect garden spider web in the middle of the picture.  It was absolutely perfect!

This is my crew this year.  They sure are cute little stinkers!  I had one little girl that absolutely drove me nuts.  She went back to her previous school in Tohatchi!  Talk about a lucky break for me!

On our Temple weekend, we picked Prickly Pear Tunas for jelly behind our hotel!
