Uncle Ralph's Funeral

The dad's uncle, Ralph Lancaster, died on March 3.  Uncle Ralph was married to Papa's sister, Venola Decker Lancaster.  She died about ten years ago.  We went over to Snowflake to his funeral.
Spring was just starting to peek out as we were leaving for Snowflake.

We left early so we could do a session at the Snowflake Temple.

You can't see it in the pictures, but the wind was blowing...

...and it was bitterly cold that morning.

The dad and his brothers sang "I Need Thee Every Hour."

For years, Uncle Ralph has said it was worth dying just to have the Decker Brothers sing at the funeral.

He was buried in the cemetery in Snowflake next to Aunt Venola.
