Saturdays Adventure!

We spent the day in Albuquerque on Friday.  We had a Stake Leadership Temple trip, so we started our morning with a session at the temple.  It was a huge session.  They had to set up a bunch of chairs, so the session wound up starting at least 20 minutes late.  That got us out late as well.  I didn't have time to take a picture of the temple with all the spring flowers in bloom, because we had tickets to see "The Addams Family," at Popejoy Hall.  It's a Broadway musical based on the 60s TV show, which was a fun TV show.

We're on the shuttle that takes us from the Parking Area to Popejoy Hall.

Another shuttle picture.
We were in great anticipation of the show ahead.  Let me just say one thing...  If you ever get the chance to see "The Addams Family" musical, you might just want to pass that chance up. It was pretty lousy.  It wasn't much like the show we know and love at all.  Not to mention, that the first act was kind of sleazy.  The second act was just plain...  well, just don't waste your time or money.

After the show, we went and got Grandpa and took him out to eat at the Route 66 Diner on Central in Albq.

It's a cute 50s style diner.

Susan ordered fried okra with her dinner.  The dad tried it.  He still hates okra.

So Grandpa started whispering something to the waitress.  It was funny.  All at once, we all started saying, "NNnnnnnooooo."

Brian and Chelsea in the diner!  It was a fun place to eat.

  1. That's too bad it wasn't a good show. Also, that blue sweater looks really good on Brian.
