Our Trip to Holbrook!

On Saturday, we went over to Holbrook.  Jay, Lynn, the Dad, Susan and I got together to raise Mapa's headstone at the cemetery.  It had sunken way down on one side.  We cut the turf away from the headstone, then we used a crowbar to raise the sunken side, and put a couple of wheelbarrows of new dirt underneath it. We tamped it down and put the turf back.  Gery's head stone had grass grown over the edges, so we edged that.  Then one of his vases is missing, and that hole got all filled in with dirt and mud, so we cleaned it out, and fixed the other fase so that it could come out again, too.  On Tuesday, we're going to call the mortuary there and see if we can order another vase to put in the side where Gery's was missing.

Afterwards. we drove over to the Joseph City Cemetery and took a picture of a headstone where Grandpa Decker's (not Papa, but Papa's father) maternal grandparents were buried.

Then we (your dad, Susan and I along with Jay, Jenny, Lynn and Diane) went to a place called Jalapeno Poppers for lunch.  The food was lousy, but the company was great.
