Yesterday was the quarterly blood drive at RMCH. Susan and I gave blood. Susan gave blood once before at a blood drive at Miyamura, and it went well with no problems. This time, the phlebotomist got the needle a tiny bit off, and it was more than likely pressed against the vessel wall. It hurt, and the blood didn't flow well. Needless to say, it wasn't the best experience for her. In all the years I've donated blood, I've only had that problem twice. Too bad it happened for Susan on her second time out. I hope it doesn't make her gun.... or should I say needle-shy.
