Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

Friday was the last day of school for us here in Gallup, until next Monday, November 26.  I'm already wondering where the time has gone, and it hasn't even gone yet.  Here's a happening or two from this past week.

Susan marched as a member of  Key Club and Student Council (She's the Student Body secretary.) in the Veteran's Day Parade in Gallup.  Miyamura High School has decided to do a Veteran's Day Parade each ear instead of a Homecoming Parade since their school is named after a War Hero, and their mascot is the Patriot.

That's my baby!

Here she is holding "Old Glory," in the display of American flags through the years in the Veteran's Day program on the Courthouse Square.

Official American flags through the years.

One of the little guys in my class gave me this for Thanksgiving.  Isn't that a cute vase!?!

We had a Youth Temple Trip on Saturday.  Yoli Nicholson got carsick on the way up and threw up on Minnie Browning.  Colleen Mortensen had to take the girls to Kohl's and buy them new outfits to go into the temple.  That's a story neither one of them will forget!

Chelsea and I did an Endowment Session while the dad and Susan were in the baptistry.

After the temple, we picked up Grandpa and went to Fudrucker's for lunch.  I love their honey mustard and sweet potato fries!

At the restaurant.  The burgers certainly hit the spot!
