Our Spring Break was split up into two parts this year, because the dad had to file for candidacy on the Tuesday of Spring Break. We came home after the trip to Flagstaff and took care of that!
We spent every spare minute during part of January, February and part of March collecting signatures of registered Democrats to get the dad's name on the June Primary ballot. He got enough signatures. We got this letter back from the Election Bureau saying all is well and his name is on the ballot. Whew!
| After we filed on Tuesday, we took off for Las Vegas to see Susan and Christian. We went on a nice walk. They have really cool walking trails around her apartment building. |
| Suzu cooked us a delicious dinner. She made Ronto Wraps from a Disneyland Cookbook. They were delicious. |
| After we left Las Vegas, we headed for American Fork. We stopped in St. George to see the newly remodeled temple. |
| We also stopped in Washington, Utah, which is adjacent to St. George. This is the new Red Cliff's temple that hasn't yet been dedicated. |
| Then we went to Manti. They were having the Open House of the newly remodeled Manti Temple. |
| It was beautiful inside and out! |
| We got to American Fork and were greeted by this! |
| We got up early the morning after we got there and went to do an Endowment Session at the Saratoga Springs Temple in Eagle Mountain! |
| While Micah was at school and Steve was working, the girls made Angela's Famous Marshmallow Eggs. |
| They were delicious! I ate about a dozen of them myself! Homemade marshmallow eggs are clearly different creatures than store-bought marshmallow eggs--absolutely delightful! |
| We had a picnic and a hike at Highland Lake. The play area was totally redone, and boy, was it fun! |
..
| Micah's favorite part was a huge pile of sand! |
| I love this picture! |
| We had corned beef and cabbage for dinner on the day before St. Patrick's Day because we were heading home the next day. |
| They make a pretty good looking Irish bunch for folks who sure don't have much Irish in their genes! |
| A rousing game of kickball in the backyard! |
We had a fun and rejuvenating Spring Beak. On Monday it was back to work as usual!
