A Snapshot of May
Even though we only live a couple of hours away, I feel like we don't get to see Brian and Chelsea and their crew often enough. With the Dad's calling and our Temple Shift callings, we don't have as many free weekends that match up with their free weekends as you would think. So I had one more personal day left this year, and I took it on a Monday so we could go over to Farmington on Sunday night to see them. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures. But Chelsea sent me a couple.

Brian drove us out to see the Farmington Temple worksite.
We spent abut $300 at our Youth Cake Auction.

We got new dishwasher! We don't have to prewash the dishes with this one. We just stick them right in after we eat!

On with our New Year's Resolution. This was by far the best homemade chowder I have ever tasted!

This was a popcorn chicken salad that we put in Cream Puff shells.

The dad loves making paella. He did this on hisnew grill. We could no longer find parts to repair his old one. It was only 24 years old.

Things to do with Refrigerator Biscuits. It was kind of like a shrimp pot pie.

The dad tried his hand at making burnt ends. They were really good!
As you can see from this Snapshot of May, it truly is all about the food!

Even More Math!
We had a couple of more family names pop up in our math books before the school year ended! My kiddos absolutely LOVED the videos. They truly loved the personal nature of the videos. For a whole school year, we are a class family, and they felt ties to our family. We have the same math series next year, so I will use the videos again! And I will start begging for videos earlier in the year as we come across family names!
Here are the latest videos!
I couldn't find Angela's name anywhere, so I made a Seesaw Problem for her. Here it is!

Angela, We Have a Problem!
Angela was fixing her tree house.
She pulled off an old board that had nails poking
out of it. She didn't want anyone to get hurt
on the nails, so she started pulling them out.
At 5:00 she pulled out 8 nails and put them in a
pile. At 6:00 she pulled out 4 nails and put them i
n the pile. She pulled some more out at 7:00 and
put them in the pile. Now there are 15 nails in the
pile. How many nails did she pull out at 7:00?
