A Snapshot of May

Even though we only live a couple of hours away, I feel like we don't get to see Brian and Chelsea and their crew often enough.  With the Dad's calling and our Temple Shift callings, we don't have as many free weekends that match up with their free weekends as you would think.  So I had one more personal day left this year, and I took it on a Monday so we could go over to Farmington on Sunday night to see them.  Sadly, I didn't take any pictures.  But Chelsea sent me a couple.

Walking David to school with his whole entorage.

Brian drove us out to see the Farmington Temple worksite.

We spent abut $300 at our Youth Cake Auction.

We got  new dishwasher!  We don't have to prewash the dishes with this one.  We just stick them right in after we eat!

On with our New Year's Resolution.  This was by far the best homemade chowder I have ever tasted!

From the 101 things to do with a cake mix.

This was a popcorn chicken salad that we put in Cream Puff shells.

Each of the youth were asked to bring 3 dozen enchiladas to the Cake Auction for the dinner.  Jeremiah, who lives across the street from us, didn't have anyone who could help him with that, so we brought him over to our house to make his enchiladas.

The dad loves making paella.  He did this on hisnew grill.  We could no longer find parts to repair his old one.  It was only 24 years old.

Things to do with Refrigerator Biscuits.  It was kind of like a shrimp pot pie.

We had a crazy hat day the last week of school and we all made crazy hats!  I really loved this group of kids, and I was sad to let them go.  You teachers all know that the dream class doesn't come along very often.

The dad tried his hand at making burnt ends.  They were really good!

As you can see from this Snapshot of May, it truly is all about the food!

  1. That first sentence - I totally feel that too! We only get to see you for a tidbit each time, and those tidbits aren't very close together in time frame. Also I love the shirt pocket book holder for the picture. :)
