Hiking the Hogback!

When Amy came home for Fall Break, the one thing she really hoped we could do was go on a hike.  Well, we had quite the busy week while she was here, and it got to be the day before she needed to head back, and we still hadn't gone on a hike.  So...  on Wednesday morning, we planned to go hike the Hogback and eat dinner at the top right after we got home from work.  So we did just that!

We decided to take the back trail this time.  Since it was evening, the back would be in the shade this time of the day.  We'd never taken that trail before.

The weather and the views were just perfect!

I'm glad our family likes to hike together!

One thing I'll have to say about New Mexico--the views are spectacular!

We made chicken sandwiches and had a picnic at the peak!

We very much enjoyed the evening.  Can't wait to do it again!
