The Last Few Days Before School Started.

This summer seemed to fly by faster than any summer I can remember so far.  The weather was rather cool most of the summer, and it was lovely!  I certainly wasn't ready to head back to the classroom so soon.  Here are a few photos of those last few precious days.

Susan was able to work YCC for a couple of weeks during her break.

On her first day back, she worked on a small crew that cleaned up the garden at Red Rock

We made Zucchini Stuffing Casserole from the "... Zucchini" book.  Over half the year has passed, and we're still on schedule with our New Year's Resolution!

Susan got to bring a Sunflower head home from work!

Susan and I each took a jillion pictures trying to get a good shot of a hummingbird.  It is not that easy.  This is about my best one.

Last Saturday, we went to the Ceremonial paradel

We bought the umbrella from a street vendor.  It saved the day.

When the Sheriff went by, he slowed down the entire parade to talk to the dad.

This little guy was absolutely adorable.  He kept getting distracted by EVERYTHING as the parade went by.

Here he is "dancing" with his dad.

After the parade, we cooked out in the back yard.  After all, it's all about the food.

On Sunday afternoon, we made Big D burgers.  We followed a recipe for regualar-sized Barbeque Guacamole Burgers from the "...Ground Beef" book.
