I love Independence Day. Like Amy, for me, it ranks right up there with Thanksgiving and Christmas. What a great country we live in! Even with all the political woes we have facing us right now, I still truly feel blessed to be an American!
Chelsea and Brian came down from Farmington to help us celebrate the weekend, and that made it even better.
| We went Urban Golfing at Ford Canyon Park. |
| Susan kept us entertained with her amazing form! |
| The weather was gorgeous--perfect for golfing! |
| Brian and the dad definitely did the best! |
| Our athletic prowess is captured in this one! |
| Can't have an Independence Day without Bocce! |
| We played Men-folk against Women-folk. We Women-folk were way out in the lead, then the Men-folk got six points in one round. It gave them the will to persevere, and they wound up winning after all. |
| Chelsea set the timer and set the camera on the railroad ties, so we didn't even know this one was being taken! |
| Susan and the dad made ribs. They were delicious! |
| And of course, the mom made lemon ice cream. Since we were few in numbers, we just used the little freezer guy. |
| It's all about the food! |
| They really were as good as they look! |
| Recognize this game. It's Bones! We've got Papa's and Mapa's set of Bones! (Wahini Weenie is still my favorite!) The cards are old and beat up for lots of use, but they're still here! |
| Chelsea LOST! |
| The ice cream is ready. This doesn't look posed at all, does it? |
| We walked down to Alicia's for breakfast the next day! |
| Again, we are great at the whole selfie business! |
| The dad and Brian put new wooden valences up on most of the windows. We ordered new blinds for our bedroom, and they came with this type of valance. We like it a lot, so they made that kind for other windows! |
| Painting! |
| Doesn't it look great! |
| Sunday dinner. Again--it's all about the food! |
