I meant to put the pictures AFTER this paragraph, but somehow that didn't work out. Doug has finished his yearly sojourn to Washington DC. Actually, he's been able to get out of it the last couple of years, but he had to teach a class this year, so he couldn't get off the hook. Since he's been so often, and has done all the normal sight-seeing stuff, he wanted to go to the Masonic Temple and the Washington Cathedral this time, since those are both places that Dan Brown talks about a lot in "The Lost Symbol." Here are a few of the pictures he took there.
He also went to church at a local ward and he attended a session at the temple. Those were much more sacred experiences for him.
He was glad when it was time to come home. So were Susan and I!
Sounds like it was a lot of fun! I love Washington D.C.!
