It's a new year, and time for a new resolution. As always, we try to choose something that will not ultimately make us better or help us improve ourselves. Those we seem to break by Jan. 2. We've done this resolution before several years ago. We have a lot of cookbooks. This year we will make at least one new recipe a week--one per cookbook--all year long. When we've made a recipe from the last cookbook, we will start over from the first cookbook.

| Snow Day! Then courts here have the same Snow Day schedule as the schools. So when I have the day off, he has it off with me. A perk of his new job! |
| Get a load of all that snow. It's up to the top of the railroad ties in the backyard. |
| Butternut soup with shrimp |
| Cheese ring (like a cheeseball in a ring shape.) |
| Minestrone |
| Blowing the snow. |
| I got a nail in my tire. The dad changed to the spare and took the tire in to have it fixed! |
| Tomato Soup. Everything we have ever made from this cookbook has been subpar at best. We got it at Goodwill, and we have now sent it back to Goodwill. |
Most of January was snow and food. It was a good month.
