Grateful All Month Long - The Mom

 The new blog program doesn't necessarily put the pictures in the order I would hope.  Here are my pictures of things I'm grateful for, but not necessarily the order they appear on the cool list Angela put together.

This song:  Simply Having a Wonderful Christmastime, by Paul McCartney.  This is the song that ushers in the beginning of Christmas Music Season!
But I also love "Let Us All Press On," by the Tabernacle at Temple Square.

This food - The dad's green chile stew.

This surprise gift - While I was spending the day at a Super Saturday, the dad made and surprised me with this quilt rack!

This luxury - my Janome sewing machine.

This gift - The dad made this for me while sitting in his car during his lunch hours when he was working for the Payne Law Firm in Albuquerque years ago.  It was a total surprise!

This excitement - David and Peter playing in the leaves!

This moment of silliness - When the grandad read "Time to Sleep" to the grandkids,  at the end, all the animals said goodnight to each other like the family did on the Waltons.  The grandad said, "Good-night John Boy."  Afterwards, Amy sent us the Marco Polo of Eli.  After storytime ended, Eli kept saying, "Good-night John boy while laughing his little heart out! 

This first time - While Emily was here for the Labor Day weekend, she was just starting to really walk for the first time!

This last time - I loved the way this picture turned out this last time the our kids remade the photo.


This Place - The Albuquerque Temple

This moment of stillness - When Micah was just new, we got to spend time with just him in the quietness by the Christmas tree.  He cooed and cooed, and it was a choice moment!  The grandad got him to laugh for the first time!
