A Quick Trip to Farmington!

This summer, we decided it was high time we stopped paying $70 a month for our storage unit.  We needed to clean it out once and for all!  We took Amy couches from Grandpa.  We were taking Steve and Angela stuff from the shed.  We also had some dressers for Brian and Chelsea from Grandpa.  The dad and I loaded the dressers in the pick-up, and I used the furniture delivery as a good reason to go see Brian's family!
We went on a walk to see their garden.  They have a neighbor who has a large garden plot, and she let them have a row to plant and take care of!  Look at that zucchini!

Happy Grandma!

For dinner, we went to Zeb's.  It's  a restaurant RIGHT BY their apartment, AND on Mondays, Chicken Fried Steak is the daily special.  It was Monday!

I don't know how I did it, but this is the only picture of the food that I got.

Of course, I needed to pick up a cache while I was there!
Chelsea and Brian has a friend with a plum tree.  They picked  pounds and pounds of plums.  Brian blanced and juiced them.  Chelsea and I made jam and jelly.

There it is!

From Albuquerque to Snowflake!

The dad has to travel quite a bit in the summers.  This year, I was able to go with him.  While he does his thing, I usually sew in our hotel room.  This trip was no different.  I worked on my Row by Row quilt this time, and I got four rows done!  Hooray!

We had an appointment with Peter Webb, a member of the Albuquerque Temple presidency, on Wednesday morning.  We got up early and headed to the temple.  We were called and set apart as ordinance workers in the Albuquerque Temple.  We will work the third Saturday of each month--early shift.
We got to town a little early, so we picked up another geocache!

This was a cool one (but scary).  The cache looked like a screw, and it was up on a bridge that goes over the freeway.

Left another travel bug!

Another one!

We left Albuquerque on Friday evening.  Saturday morning, we went to Snowflake for Uncle Herb's funeral.  We got there early enough to find a couple of caches there.

This one was in a case that looked like a lava rock.  It was on the front lawn of the Jessne N. Smith home.

The dad at the home of his great-great-grandparents in Snowflake

This was at the Jesse N. Smith home.  The snowballs on their snowball bush were the biggest I have ever seen!  They were gorgeous!

Family Reunions, Independence Day, and a Week With Daughters and Babies!

This has been a full week, and this will be the post of a million pictures.  We had lots of family time, including time with Papa's family.  Susan wasn't able to come because of school.  We missed her, but we also know she is where she needs to be!

The pictures may be wildly out of order, but I don't really care.

Brian and Chelsea drove to Gallup from Farmington so they could drive down to the Decker Cousins Reunion in Mesa with us.  David is taking a break from his car seat for awhile.

David and Auntie Elizabeth

Four generation pictures with Papa and David.

Micah just woke up. Grandma needed to give him loves.

Four generation pictures with Papa and Micah

Papa has lots of great-grand children, but these two little boys are the first (and only right now) ones to carry on the Decker name.

We were all there with the exception of Susan.

Dad, Carlene, and the Siblings (minus Jay).

The whole crew that was at the reunion!

Ready for church on Sunday morning.

Papa loves his grandbabies!

Micah gets to swing in Grandma's swing!

It's all about the food.

Micah is sitting in the high chair that my mom sat in as a baby.  All the grandchildren and great-grandchildren sat in it when they visited my grandparents and Aunt Irene in Provo!  It's the thing from their house that Susan wanted most.  She stripped it, and we finished it for our grandbabies to use.  It used to be all about the food...

...now it's all about the babies.  (This is the high chair that all my babies used!)

Brian and Amy spent a lot of time cleaning the kitchen.  They did piles and piles of dishes over the weekend, and I am thankful!

A quiet moment at the piano with Grandad!

Don't let that innocent face deceive you.  This child is a monkey man!

David is helping his Daddy mow the backyard!

We used a new recipe for corn-on-the-cob!

David was Grandad's little shadow all week!

Micah love's his grandad, too!

"Hold me, too, Grandad!"

Amy giving babies rides in the laundry basket!

Grandma and Amy bought the boys squishy teething thingies.  All babies need squish teething thingies, you know.

We made Italian sodas.  Chelsea LOVES Italian sodas.  (I do, too!)

Grandad gave the boys wheelbarrow rides!  We had our own, personal Fourth of July Parade!

One grandson is great!  Two are even better!

Amy is chasing after David trying to snap his onesie!

They found the tupperware cupboard...

...and the box of diapers...

We did a bit of geocaching this week.

The Friendship Dance at the Nightly Indian Dances on the Courthouse Square!

We saw the definition of geocaching. " Using multi-billion dollar satelites to find tupperware in the woods."

I wonder how many times we had to refull the diaper box!

Angela made our Friday night pizza!  It was delicious!

On Friday night, David was tired and cranky.  He hadn't slept well at all.  After dinner, the grandad carried him around and told him the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.  He started to tell him about David and Goliath.  David did a big shiver, so Grandad carried him from our bedroom back to the Family Room.  As they stepped over to the kitchen floor, David shot out huge amounts of vomit onto the kitchen floor in three big eruptions and a couple off little ones.  He turned ashen gray, his eyes rolled back in his head, and he passed out.  Brian and Chelsea grabbed him and rushed him to the ER.  The grandad and I followed after the grandad got cleaned up.  (He was drenched from the eruptions.)  Brian and his dad gave David a blessing, and we came home.  David had a fever of 103, and they had to get it down.  Chelsea and Brian wound up staying at the ER until nearly 3:00 in the morning.  The doctors ran some tests and found that it was an ear infection that caused the high fever.  He gave us all quite a scare!

Guess who was Mr. Popular all week.  That's right, it's the grandad!

Mmmmm!  Whipped cream is delicious!

More geocaching!

Playing Washoos!

Climbing up Mommy's legs.

Amy brought her boyfriend, Cody Pederson home to meet the family.  We like him!

Getting ready to take Angela and Micah to Moab to meet Daddy after their week with us in Gallup.

We stopped to stretch, and geocache!

We found this one in Dove Creek!

Micah and Daddy are happy to be back together!

We had a picnic with Steve, Angela and Micah on the church lawn after Sacrament meeting.  Then they went on their way to American Fork, and the dad and I decided to look for one more cache at a Park in Moab.

The cache was called "Music in the Park."

It is a great park!  There are huge musical instruments that kids can play...

...or that big kids can play!

Good thing the park was so fun!  As far as geocaching is concerned, we got aced out.

We found this one outside of Monticello.

Now we get to tghe part where the pictures are all out of order, but I'm okay with that.

Geocaching in Mesa during our time there for the Cousins Reunion.

We stopped in Heber on the way back for gas station hot dogs.

Geocacing adventure.

Crunching crackly mud.  I love cruncing crackly mud!

A cache in Cortez.

Looking at the loot in a cache in Moab.

That cool park.

Our last geocache of the week in Monticello!
