November Shenanigans!

It's December 5, and I just realized I haven't blogged for November yet.  Yikes!

We picked all the tomatoes before it froze outside.  Now we're sorting them.

Susan and Christian did a stint at the Giving Machine!

We've had a semi-broken blind for a couple of years.  It finally broke all the way, so we got a new one.  The dad is installing it.

The first fire of the season!

We went to see Susan and Christian in Las Vegas for Veteran's Day.

They have a great walking trail right by their home.

Geocaching on a Sunday walk.

Getting ready to make Chicken Fried Steak!  It was delicious!

Found a geocache!

Found another geocache.

We found this little guy hiding by the geocache!

We went to the Snowflake Temple after Aunt Eva Ann Whitt's funeral.  She is dad's youngest sister.

Brian, Chelsea, David, Peter and Emily came for Thanksgiving!  Checking out the Hot Wheels Cars!

Gotta play the Wrapping Paper Game

Dog pile on their dad!

Geting Ready for the Turkey Trot

David ran nearly the whole way.  He was the winner of this year's Turkey Trot, and the owner of the coveted Golden Turkey Tennis Shoe Award!

Took a woodscrew in the tire.

Our Family in October

It's October!

I love October!  The weather has been absolutely gorgeous for fall this year.  It didn't even freeze this year until past the middle of the month.  Usually it freezes in September.

The month always starts out great with General Conference.  This year was no exception!

Brian and Chelsea and their family came for General Conference.  I love that tradition!

The dad and Brian cooked a brisket for the weekend.  I LOVE brisket!

Our last set of chicks got killed by dogs in our backyard, so we got some new chicks.  They're not exactly babies anymore, but the kids enjoyed holding the anyway!  Peter is a chicken whisperer.

These girls were older than the others were when the kids were here.  Emily was okay holding the smaller girls, but these were a bit too scary.

Conference projects.

:
Amy, Cody and the boys stayed over night on their way back to Phoenix from the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque.  The boys went right to sleep when they got here.  (It was pretty late.)  Amy and I stayed up talking until after 1:00 am.  I didn't see the boys again.  I was gone to school before they woke up.

Our Hallowee Window.  Brian's crew helped us make the window during Conference.  Eli and Calvin added to it while thy were here.
Getting the girls used to the outdoors.

We had a lovely tomato harvest this year.  We wound up putting up a couple of  dozen quarts of tomatoes this year.

The dad is putting up new blinds in the kitchen.

The dad is fixing it so dogs and foxes can't jump in the yard over the chicken coop.

Here you can see the ugly wall going up on the house next door.

Our October Temple Weekend was actually in November, but I put the picture in October anyway.
