Well, we made it through the first month in celebrating National Days. We had some help from family along the way. It's been fun. I hope we make it through the whole year. We shall see.

| Jan. 6 - National Bean Day - We made tortilla bowls with beans in them! |
 |
| It was also National Cuddle Up Day! |

| Jan. 7 - National Thank Heavens it's Monday Day |

| Jan. 8 - National Winter Skin Relief Day |
 |
| Jan. 9 - National Apricot Day - The dad is eating dried apricots in his oatmeal... |

| ...and I am drinking apricot kefir and eating toast with Apricot Habanero jam! |

| Jan. 10 - National Bittersweet Chocolate Day! |

| Jan. 11 - National Milk Day |
 |
| Jan. 12 - National Curried Chicken Day! - We went to Farmington for the weekend so we could watch the boys while Brian and Chelsea went to the temple. We brought the stuff over to make Curried Chicken Pot Pie to celebrate the day... |

| ...and Brian and Chelsea had made Chicken Divan (which has curry in it) for us to eat for lunch while they were gone. We decided to save it for dinner so we could all eat it together. We left the Chicken Pot Pie stuff for their family to make and eat another day, since we had the Chicken Divan ready to eat! It was delicious! |

| Jan. 13 -National Korean Day, National Sunday Supper Day, and National Stephen Foster Memorial Day. We ate Korean Chicken Soup on Sunday, and sang "The Swanee River" while we ate! It was also National Rubber Ducky Day. Angela took the rubber ducky pictures of Erika to celebrate! |

| Jan. 14 - National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day. The dad was in Santa Fe on this day. I made a pastrami sandwich here at home... |
...and he bought stuff to make a pastrami sandwich in his hotel room in Santa Fe!

| Jan. 17 was National Hot Buttered Rum Day and National Bootleggers Day. We didn't think we could do this one, but Susan came to the rescue. She went to the Mob Museum in Las Vegas--World Class Bootleggers. (Later on, I thought that we could have watched the Andy Griffith episode with "Jubel, Jubel, Jubel, Jubel, Jubel, Jubel" Foster in it.) |

| Jan. 25 - National Opposite Day. I know. This one is a stretch. |

| Jan. 26 - National Spouses Day - No better place to spend it than the place we became spouses--at the Temple! |

| Jan. 27 - National Chocolate Cake Day - We made Chocolate Mug Cakes. (The dad looks kind of scary here.) |

| Jan. 28 - National Blueberry Pancakes Day - We had the missionaries over for dinner, and they were glad it was National Blueberry Pancakes Day! |

| Jan. 29 - National Corn Chip Day - We made Frito Pies on top of salads! |

Jan. 30 - National Croissant Day - I couldn't find fresh croissants anywhere in town, so I bought Jimmy Dean Breakfast Croissants. Not that tasty.
Jan. 31 - National Backwards Day. Our first mirror selfies in our hotel room!
