The dad was chose to be a recognized citizen of McKinley County on McKinley County Day, which was January 24, 2024. We left for Santa Fe on Tuesday after school so we would be there first thing Wednesday morning.

| This is the certificate that Doug got. I'm still not sure exactly what he was recognized for. Anthony Dimas did the write up about Doug that Senator Munoz read. It was a lovely recognition. I am thankful to have such a man in my life, and for eternity. He is a truly good man. |

Mildred Lincoln gave us a whole list of "can't miss" places to eat in Santa Fe, so we hit the ones we could. This place is called "The Shed." It has delicious New Mexican food.

| We had all day on Thursday to sight-see. We went to Meow Wolf in Santa Fe. |
We spent Friday and Saturday in Albuquerque at the Temple. It was a nice little mini-vacation.
I found this bit about the other guy in a Gallup Sun article: "The session also included tributes to Judge Doug Decker, who was County Attorney for 27 years before taking the bench, and Pastor Mike Kleeberger, who serves as chaplain to both Gallup Police and McKinley County Sheriff’s departments. Through his Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kleeberger also provides family and community support with things like bereavement counseling and food deliveries, especially during the pandemic."
