Saturday is a Special Day!

Last Saturday, May 12, was a special day!  We went with Amy to the Albquerque Temple where she received her endowments!  When we got there, Annette Waddoups was waiting for her, as she served as her guide.  I, the mom, served as her escort.  It was a lovely day at the temple, and it was an all-around lovely day after the temple.

This is Amy right after we came out of the temple.  I imagine her thoughts were all in a big whirl.

Amy with the mom and the dad.

Now we add Brian and Chelsea to the mix.

And now, we add Carol and Mark.  Leah and Bryan Decker were also there.
Do you kids remember the flower bed my mom had out in front of her front porch?  She always had Dusty Miller growing there.  Brian saw the Dusty Miller and said it always reminded him of Grandma, so it seemed fitting that we got some to put on her grave.

May 12 also is the anniversary of my mom's going back home.  We went to Osuna Nursery to get my Mother's Day gift--BEDDING PLANTS!  We also got a Dusty Miller plant and a petunia plant to put on mom's grave for Mother's Day.

Afterwards, we went to Fudruckers for burgers.  Susan got to pick the place, and this is what she chose.  I'd say she made a good call!

The rest of us at Fudruckers.

I know you will find this hard to believe, but we went to Shamrock Food Service supply, and we found boxes of 100 packages of Animal Crackers for just $4.49 each--can you believe it--just $4.49 each!!!  We bought two whole boxes!  And that's not all the good news!  Each box had two MORE packages taped on the outside!  And that's still not all the good news!  The cookies are tasty and delicious!

  1. We're still laughing at those crackers. But we went and got a box ourselves. :)
